A 7-week churchwide discipleship journey

Transform your life, together.

This fall, we’re inviting everyone at RHCC to go on a 7-week discipleship journey called Growing Together. Written by our pastors, and designed to align with our weekend sermon series, this interactive study is a powerful way to grow deeper in your walk with Christ—personally and in community.

Facilitate or host a group

Be part of what God is doing through Growing Together by stepping up as a Group Facilitator or Home Host! If you're not sure about leading, we encourage to you to come to our leader training on Saturday, August 23 from 9-11am in the 290s to check it out.

Group Facilitator
Help create a welcoming space for spiritual growth by guiding your group through the Growing Together material each week. You don’t need to be a Bible scholar—just someone who’s willing to ask questions, encourage conversation, and listen well.

Host a Group in Your Home
Not comfortable leading, but you have the space to host a group? You can play a key role by opening your home for a group to meet—even as someone else leads the discussion. A warm and comfortable setting helps people feel open to share and grow together in community.

What we'll be studying

Week 1 – The Big Picture

Discover the true story of the world—God’s story. We begin by tracing the arc of Scripture: God as Creator, the fall into sin, Christ’s saving work, and the promise of eternity. This foundational week invites us to locate our personal stories within God's greater redemptive plan.

Week 2 – God Revealed

God has not remained hidden—He reveals Himself through creation, His Word, and ultimately in Jesus Christ. This week we’ll explore how to rightly approach the Bible, develop a biblical worldview, and learn to be shaped by the God who makes Himself known.

Week 3 – God’s People

What does it mean to belong to the Church? This week unpacks the beauty and purpose of Christian community—elders, spiritual gifts, and the “one anothers” that define life together. Discipleship is not a solo journey; we grow by walking alongside one another.

Week 4 – Spiritual Disciplines

Growth requires training. This week we’ll focus on the spiritual habits that shape us: prayer, Bible study, fasting, confession, and more. These disciplines aren’t burdens—they’re life-giving rhythms that help us know God more deeply.

Week 5 – The Church Gathered

Why do we gather each Sunday? We’ll explore the purpose of corporate worship—singing, preaching, communion, baptism, and serving. This week will challenge us to show up with expectation and engage with responsibility as worshipers and contributors.

Week 6 – The Sent Church

God’s people are not just gathered—they are sent. This week focuses on mission: how the Gospel shapes our identity and sends us into the world. Learn to share your testimony, engage in local outreach, and support the global mission of making disciples of all nations.

Week 7 – The Church at War

The Christian life is a battle. In our final week, we’ll confront the reality of spiritual warfare, temptation, and the enemy we face. But we’ll also be equipped with the armor and weapons God provides to stand firm in victory through Christ.
