Upcoming trips
Japan
Late May
We will be supporting A3 missionaries in Japan by setting up a vacation bible school (VBS) like program for their children (elementary age and under). But unlike regular VBS programs, our program will run for four days (May 28th-June 1st) from breakfast to dinner with some after dinner activities. The total trip will last 9 to 10 days, depending on final planning details; the extra days will be for time adjustment, setup/tear down of VBS area, and some time at the end see some of Tokyo. The team size will be approximately six people.

We will embark on a transformative journey, both physically and spiritually. For three days, we will hike 12-15 miles per day along the historic Camino de Santiago, immersing ourselves in the pilgrimage experience while connecting with fellow travelers from around the world. As we walk, we’ll have opportunities to engage in conversations, share our faith, and encourage others along their journey. Participants need physical endurance, flexibility, and a passion for evangelism and people, along with commitment to team training.

Cambodia
Mid-Late July
Our Short-Term Team Cambodia will be supporting Pastors Meng and Radi Aun Hour, working with them to encourage students and families in Phnom Penh, and in the city of Kampong Cham for 2 weeks in mid to late July. We will be putting on a four-day VBS at the Jesus Schools in each of these cities. Each day after completing our VBS lessons, we will visit local families and bless them with gifts of rice and noodles. Additionally, while in Kampong Cham, we will visit the kids at the orphanage run by Pastors Meng and Radi as well as visit with the young women at the House of Refuge, a home for young women rescued from trafficking.

Serve at Alaska Christian College by helping prepare the campus for the upcoming Fall semester. Our team will take part in various facility improvement and maintenance projects, working together to ensure that the school is a welcoming and functional space for students to grow in their faith and education. Whether it’s painting, cleaning, organizing, landscaping, or assisting with repairs, every task will play a role in creating an environment where students can thrive. Many of the students who go to ACC are native Alaskans who come from physically abusive backgrounds or from families that have seen significant alcohol or drug abuse. Our work there will facilitate a way for the message of Christ’s love to reach more of these students and for these new students to develop an understanding of God’s will for their lives.

We will have the privilege of partnering with Pastor Fabricio and his church to bring joy, hope, and the love of Christ to the children in the community through a Vacation Bible School. Together, we will create a fun and engaging environment where kids can learn about Jesus through Bible lessons, worship, crafts, games, and meaningful interactions. Our team will work alongside the local church, not only teaching and serving but also building relationships with the community.
